March 16, 2015. RightStart Math. Today we warmed up with even/odd, counting backwards from 20, and addition equations, then we worked on diagonals and vertices, and the words hexagon and pentagon. Both children did well almost wish we had doubled up on Math today. Next up AAR fluency sheet day 3. W did all orange and the bonus yellow. E did not want to read. He did good. At first acted like he didn't know but in the end did it and did it fine. Next up was FLL. We worked on How to write a letter. I feel that for a first time it was good but will visit it again in the future. Last up was AAS. Worked on letter o, u, i, and y. They almost have it. YES!....W even practiced his 2's for handwriting.
March 17, 2015. Today we were suppose to do the last part of the fluency sheet for AAR and Math, instead the kids went out and played. This is the second day they have gone out; last night was the first time in 4 months since they were bullied. I am happy that they are starting to be able to put this behind them and am encouraging it.
I decided since the kids are going outside and playing with a friend for the first time in 4 months since they were bullied and it is spring break to not have classes for the rest of the week. I am considering this the time where they socialize and learn critical thinking skills on how to compromise with others, especially my youngest W.
