What's been going on

We were back for a week before we got the call that my husband's mother passed away.  We received the call Sunday April 19th and we left Tuesday 21st.  We were gone for about a week.  No school was done while there for the funeral.  We got back very late Friday 24th.  The next 2 days consisted of getting everything out of the old apartment and into the new apartment.  My husband took Monday off to recoup.  We did some unschooling that week (27th-2nd).  We randomly asked the kids questions relating to fractions and math and had them read signs.  We went out to eat for socialization and manners and we started to put the new place together.

Week of May 3rd-9th.  This week was reading eggs, math seeds, and some spelling on reading eggs.  Continued to put the apartment together, find school materials, and help the children with grieving.

Week of May 10th-16th.  This week was going over the green cards in All About Reading.  Each day we worked on reviewing and trying to master some green word cards.  Outside play and meeting new neighbors while still putting house together.

Week of May 17th-23rd.  The house is now where we can start getting into a regular schedule again.   Yesterday the 21st I had them work on knowing new address and phone number.  They did a word search for short a words and a math worksheet on tens and ones.  On the 20th I had them do some handwriting (tracing) and more work on the green cards in All About Reading.  Today the 22nd I had them start a math assessment test (ADAM) from Let's Go Learn.  I also later that night had E start to learn to reason.  Question:  Why should I let you stay up and finish watching your show.

Next week will be more on schedule.
